I got tested for celiac but it was negative BUT i had an allergy test and it came up that I'm sensitive to gluten.I am now on a gluten and dairy free diet since sept of 09 and feel alot better! | |

Gluten is basically found in bread. It's the doughy stuff they put in the bread to make it stick together and stuff. Hard to explain, but it's also found in things like oils and salad dressings. If you're a celiac, you'd have to be very careful about where your foods are prepared. Going to a Starbucks, you'd have to tell them you're Celiac and they'd use a special container that's uncontaminated (for example)
It's tough, but not impossible. Some people go on the Celiac diet even if they're NOT celiac just because they feel stronger without all the extra "processed" foods crap in their systems.
Kind of like choosing to go Vegan. | |
